Temporary Employment

Temporary and seasonal jobs are available at most state parks and recreation areas, with varying durations of employment to include more opportunities during our peak season. A variety of opportunities are available, including park attendants, lifeguards, office assistants, naturalists, maintenance workers, and grounds keepers.

Seasonal Positions Available

GUWs work 16 hours per week, with weekend and holiday work required.
The pay is $15 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities

GUWs are responsible for facility and grounds maintenance, including but not limited to: cleaning restrooms, campsites, and the visitor center; emptying trash cans and disposing litter; mowing and trimming grass; maintaining trails; assisting visitors; and performing other duties to assist in necessary park operations.

Requirements  and Qualifications

Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must enjoy working with the public.
