Grandfather Mountain State Park: Most trails and campsites open, Profile parking area closed

All campers must enter through Boone Fork parking area or Asutsi parking area. Profile parking area, trail, and connector trail are closed; please do not attempt to access.

Profile Trail Parking Area

Closed until further notice. All campers should use Boone Fork or Asutsi Trail parking areas on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Day-use visitors may access trails through the privately owned Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation (entrance fee charged).

Grandfather Mountain attraction, which includes the Mile-High Swinging Bridge, is not part of the state park. The state park is free to access, while the attraction charges an entrance fee.
