Closure Notice: Bridge leading to the Old Reedy Creek Road Entrance Gate
The NCDOT will be closing the bridge leading to the Old Reedy Creek Road Entrance Gate in Cary on March 24th from 10am - 3pm. Please use alternate park entrances during this time.
William B. Umstead State Park now offers all-terrain wheelchair rentals.
These wheelchairs help individuals with limited mobility enjoy outdoor adventures and experience the wonders of wildlife and nature. Please fill out the interest form to begin the reservation process.
The Family Campground remains closed for a major renovation project.
The renovated campground will have a new bathhouse & significant improvements to the campsites. We plan to re-open in Spring 2026.
William B. Umstead: Bridge Replacement Project for South Turkey Creek MUT Underway
NCDOT and State Parks hope to complete the project and restore access across Crabtree Creek by the end of 2026. The Ebenezer Church Road bridge is unsafe for pedestrians. Visit our blog post for more information.
