All state parks west of I-77 are closed through at least Oct. 31, 2024.
Most October events and field trips at all state parks across North Carolina have also been cancelled as the division works on post-storm recovery. Visit ncparks.gov/closures for more information.
Due to impacts of Hurricane Helene, New River State Park is closed until further notice.
This includes all accesses, campsites, and facilities. Closures will remain in place until staff is able to assess the damage and determine it is safe to reopen.
