NO transportation is available. If you hike up, you must hike back down. All facilities are closed for the winter. There is no drinking water. Port-a-johns are at the park office.
Ox Creek Parkway Entrance May Be Closed.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is open from Asheville to the park, however the Ox Creek entrance (from Weaverville) to the Parkway may still be closed due to a wildfire.
Access to the Park
The park is accessible from the Asheville side of the Blue Ridge Parkway only. North of the park, the Parkway is closed. There are no gas stations between Asheville & the park.
