Burn Ban in effect: No campfires at State Parks
All open fires, including campfires, are prohibited at all state parks until further notice. There is currently a statewide burn ban in place due to high risk of wildfire. Call 911 to report a wildfire.
Know before you go.
NO transportation is available. If you hike up, you must hike back down. All facilities are currently closed. There is no drinking water. Port-a-johns are at the park office.
Access to the Park
The park is accessible from the Asheville side of the Blue Ridge Parkway only. North of the park, the Parkway is closed. There are no gas stations between Asheville & the park.
