Grandfather Mountain State Park: Most trails and campsites open, Profile parking area closed
All visitors must enter through Boone Fork parking area. Profile Trail, Profile Connector Trail, and Profile campsite remain closed. Please do not attempt to access closed areas.
Most state parks in western North Carolina have reopened at least partially.
Chimney Rock, Mount Mitchell, and South Mountains are closed long-term until further notice. Check park pages for the most up-to-date status of facilities.
