Come join the Chimney Rock State Park Rangers to hike the 1.5 miles moderate trail.  The Rumbling Bald Trail is a loop trail that meanders through a beautiful hardwood forest along the south face of Rumbling Bald Mountain, revealing huge boulder fields and the base of the cliff areas.  Park Rangers will lead an unique educational topic each weekend.

The park is under attack, and we need your help! Join a Park Ranger while we go on the hunt to identify and map invasive species in the park! Be prepared to search high and low in the woods and hike roughly one mile using the Seek App on mobile devices.

National Trails Day Hike

National Trails Day is your chance to get outdoors, connect with your community, and give back to the trails you love! Join a Park Ranger on a short hike while we search for Box Turtles to mark and release in the park. Help us conserve and protect this special reptile species! Meet at the picnic shelter.
