History Hike: CCC Cabin & Fire Tower

Accompany Ranger Wood on a short walk up to the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) Cabin where you’ll be able to take a look inside and learn about the 1933 New Deal program. Then discuss the Fire Tower, located just beyond the cabin, and its connection to our park. This program is open to all ages, and we hope to see you there!

Our Park Tech, Abbie, will be leading a bird walk along our 0.6 mile Talking Tree Trail, where you'll discover a variety of local bird species in their natural habitats. We’ll discuss fascinating insights into bird behavior, migration patterns, and conservation efforts. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced birdwatcher, this walk offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature. Bring your binoculars and camera to capture the beauty of the birds while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
