Our prized volunteers help us with everything from trail maintenance to removing invasive species. Please be prepared for the weather and bring bottled water and gloves with you. From ants to butterflies and more, this is your chance to discover the hidden world of bugs with one of our park Rangers in the field—me, Ranger Baker!

Whether you’re new to fishing or just want to learn the basics, this program covers simple techniques, fishing gear, and local fish species. All equipment is provided—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to enjoy the peaceful pond. No experience needed!

As part of the NC Science Festival come help us celebrate World Pilots day at Carvers Creek! Enjoy a StoryWalk about the infamous Wright Brothers, stop by the paper airplane building station to try your had at crafting and launching your very own plane, or check the Wings of Things display and learn about all things wings and how they work!
