Fiscal Year 2025-26 PARTF Snapshot

For fiscal year 2025-2026, the nine-member Parks and Recreation Authority selected a total of 36 counties and municipalities to receive nearly $14 million in Parks and Recreation Trust Fund grants.

At their August 28 meeting, the Authority selected 25 recipients to receive $9,807,389. A partial grant award of $154,395 has been offered to one of the applicants, who was tied with another for the 26th selection. If declined, the partial grant will be awarded to the other applicant that tied. If both applicants decline, the funds will roll over to fiscal year 2026-2027.

At their March 27 meeting, the Authority selected 11 recipients to receive $4,158,875 from the PARTF Helene Recovery Fund. The funding was allocated through the Disaster Recovery Act of 2025 Part II (SL 2025-26), signed into law in June 2025. Unlike in the annual PARTF funding cycle, local government applicants to the Helene Recovery Fund did not have a cap on the grant amount they could request, but they still had to match the PARTF award at least dollar for dollar with other funding sources.
