Mayo River State Park will be open later into the night to host a community viewing of the Strawberry Moon. June's full moon is named after the ripening strawberries of this month, also known as Berries Ripen Moon, Green Corn Moon, and Hot Moon. Telescopes are encouraged, fold out chairs and other personal seating is welcome.
This event may be canceled due to poor viewing conditions or inclement weather, so be sure to check back.
