Moon at Carvers Creek State Park

The park will be hosting a public viewing of the upcoming Pink Moon. Named after the pink wildflowers that bloom in early spring, the Pink Moon is to symbolize the beginning of spring in North America. This is a free event and visitors may come and go as they please. The viewing will be held at the field below the park office.

Bring your own chairs or blankets for seating. Telescopes and binoculars are encouraged. Jackets are recommended in case of cooler weather after dark.

Peak estimated viewing time will be at 7:49pm. Gates will remain open after normal park hours for extended viewing time.

This event may be canceled due to poor viewing conditions or inclement weather, so be sure to check back.
