The N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and N.C. State Parks announced today that Chimney Rock State Park and the Chimney Rock attraction will reopen to visitors on Friday, June 27, exactly nine months after Hurricane Helene devastated the surrounding communities.
Eagle Rock Access remains closed until further notice.
The only parking area available to access Eagle Rock is Buffalo Creek Park, which remains closed. Visit the Town of Lake Lure's website for updates on the status of Buffalo Creek Park and Weed Patch Mountain Trail.

The main access at Chimney Rock State Park (attraction) is open Thursday through Monday.
