Grants and Outreach Team
The Grants and Outreach Team (GO) in NC State Parks administers parks and trails grants for local communities throughout North Carolina. The Recreation Resources Service (RRS) provides field administration for grants administered by the GO team.
The GO Team administers recurring Federal Grants from Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) and state grants from the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF). The GO Team also administers state funded for accessibility, the Helene Recovery Fund through PARTF and the Great Trails State Program (GTSP).

Recreation Resources Service (RRS) is a technical assistance program jointly administered by NC Parks and North Carolina State University’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. RRS provides field administration for grants administered by the GO team including: application assistance, technical questions regarding grants, monitoring and inspections, reviewing reimbursements, monitoring projects post completion for compliance.
