Public Notice: State Parks and Innovative Readiness Training Program

The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation is providing an opportunity for public comment on a collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense.

The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation hopes to seek assistance from the U.S. Department of Defense's Innovative Readiness Training Program.

The assistance will include the construction and maintenance of fire lines and trails, as well as other routine maintenance on state park lands and facilities. This proposed assistance will take place at several state parks in western North Carolina in 2024 and 2025.

This public comment opportunity will close on Feb. 18, 2024

Anyone who does not file comments within the time frame noted will be considered to have waived their objections to military assistance for this project.
