Join us at the Naked Creek Restoration Site at Mount Jefferson State Natural Area for the annual Youth Trout Fishing Derby on May 4, 2024!
Participants under the age of 16 are allowed to fish from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. All ages are allowed to fish from 12 p.m. to sunset.
Free fishing bait and gear are available. A valid NC Inland Fishing License is required for participants 16 years of age or older. There is a daily limit of 7 fish, but there are no size limits nor bait restrictions.
Naked Creek Restoration Site is located at 940 NC Highway 16 S. in Jefferson, across from the Highlander Hotel.
