Join Gorges State Park in a celebration of the 2024 Monarch Butterfly Migration!
This annual festival began in 2022 to celebrate the monarch butterfly and bring attention to the species' declining numbers. Gorges State Park lies along the monarch's migratory route, and the butterflies can be seen at the park during this time, flying on their way south to the high-elevation fir forests in the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, where they overwinter until early spring.
We will have educational programming, kids crafts and activities, native plants, food trucks, artwork and more!
