Tree by the park lake at Lake Norman State Park

Experience nature with a beautifully shaded mid-morning hike on the southern portion of Lakeshore Trail. A Park Ranger will lead visitors along this 3-mile section of trail that winds in and out of the coves of Lake Norman.

One of the few undeveloped stretches of shoreline left on the lake, we will learn about the native plants and animals that call this lake home. We ask that everyone joining us on the hike brings water, wears sturdy shoes, and dresses for the weather.

We will have a bathroom break about half-way through the hike. For more information, please call the Visitor Center at 704-528-6350.

This hike is in honor of National Trails Day.
