Join us as we commemorate one year since the devastating flood.
A park naturalist will be stationed by the Chimney from 1–4 PM both days to share insights about the park’s history and offer a bird’s-eye view of Hickory Nut Gorge in the wake of the storm. Want to explore further?
Meet a park ranger at Cliff Dwellers Gift Shop at 2 pm-3pm for a guided hike up the Outcroppings Trail to the top of the Chimney.
The Ranger will discuss how erosion formed the gorge and how park staff responded to the devastation of Hurricane Heline.
No pre-registration required.
