A brown-headed cowbird at Eno River State Park

Join a Naturalist for a moderately difficult two and a half mile trek around the Occoneechee Mountain Loop trail to listen to and look for birds that are hanging out there. We will identify the birds we see and hear using bird identification guides, unique characteristics, and Merlin Bird ID.

Meet at the Occoneechee Mountain access's Eno Mountain Road parking area. All children must be accompanied by an adult; wear hiking shoes and bring water, birding books, and binoculars!

Spaces are limited, and registration is required. To sign up, call (984) 250-1370 or click the Register button to email eno.river@ncparks.gov. Please include the number of guests in your party and a phone number where you can be reached if the event is changed or canceled.
