Poplar Point Loop E has limited amounts of campsites open for camping on a first come first serve basis at this time. 
Poplar Point Loop C will be open March 8, 2021 and Loop F will be open tentatively March 12, 2021 due to an unexpected water line break.

Parkers Creek Loop1 tentative opening date March 30, 2021.
Parkers Creek Loop 2 tentative opening date March 22, 2021.
Parkers Creek Loops 4N and 4S have a tentative opening date of March 15, 2021.
Parkers Creek Group sites have a tentative opening date of March 11, 2021.
Parkers Creek Day Use Area will open March 29, 2021.
Vista Point Group sites open March 15, 2021.

We will update our webpage as the water recedes to appropriate levels.

Fall 2020/Winter 2021 Park Office and Campground Information   

The Park Office/Visitor Center will be open 8 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday during the months of November, December, January, and February. The Park Office/Visitor Center will be closed on weekends and all state recognized holidays. 

On Tuesday, December 01, 2020, all water will be cut off to individual campsites for the fall 2020/winter 2021 camping season.  If you should need water, please use the frost proof water spigots located at each shower house. The shower houses will remain open with hot water.

Water will be cut back on starting March 1, 2021 and will be completed loop by loop before March 31, 2021.

Poplar Point Campground Loops C, E and F will be open year-round to accommodate the fall 2020/winter 2021 camping season. Reservations must be made online or by calling 1-877-722-6762 to camp in Loops C and F. Loop E is first come, first serve/walk in camping.

Jordan Lake State Recreation Area

Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is a collective of nine access areas scattered around the shoreline of this undeveloped, 14,000-acre reservoir. More than 1,000 campsites among five of the access areas offer a range of outdoor experience from RV hookups to primitive tent camping and group camps. There are seven swim beaches in the recreation area and a number of boating ramps, with some swim areas and ramps reserved for campers. Nearly 14 miles of hiking trails wind across the hilly lakeshore, with most of them offering easy, brief hikes perfect for family outings. Spotting bald eagles and osprey is just one of many opportunities to view wildlife, and the lake’s ecology is further explored in the visitor center exhibit hall.
