Juneteenth StoryWalk®

Take a walk on our 1-mile Cedar Loop Trail and read "All Different Now", Juneteenth, the First Day of Freedom. by Angela Johnson. The StoryWalk® is open to all visitors during park hours. The book is written for young children but can be enjoyed by all ages."All Different Now" , Juneteenth, the First Day of Freedom, was written by Angela Johnson  and illustrated by E.B. Lewis.  
Carolina Beach, Hammocks Beach, Hanging Rock, Jockey's Ridge, Jones Lake, Lake James, Lake Norman, Morrow Mountain, and Pilot Mountain state parks; Falls Lake State Recreation Area; and Salmon Creek State Natural Area are hosting the paddling instruction events for National Safe Boating Week 2024.
