Enjoy a cold February day by relaxing by a fire. Roast marshmallows, create s’mores or learn how to make banana boats. Please register in advance so we can have plenty of sweets and roasting sticks.
We will meet at the Secret Pond.

Great Backyard Bird Count

See https://www.birdcount.org/ for more information. We will be hosting 3 events at the park and will have a table at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens on the 17th. For the park events, bring a chair and binoculars if you want. Anyone can show up to help count - no need to register!
At the park: 16 Feb, at Sandhills Access, 10am to noon. 18 Feb, Long Valley Farm, 1-3pm. 19 Feb, Sandhills Access, 9-11am.
On the 17th, we’ll have a table set up at the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens until around noon.

Animal Tracks
February 24, 2024, 1pm - 2pm
Animal tracks are all around us! Come learn how to spot different animal tracks and signs in the park. We'll do a craft a then take a short hike to investigate and identify tracks. All ages welcome.
We will meet in front of the Welcome Center.
