Trails, restrooms, the boat ramp, picnic area, and all marina facilities are open.
The visitor center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A properly worn mask or face covering, covering both the nose and the mouth, is required to enter.
Campsites are open for reservation, including group campsites. As previously noted, one loop of the campground is closed for construction, while the other remains open. Please be prepared for construction noises and traffic changes. Camper cabins are open and available for reservation. Cabins may be closed and unavailable during the week for cleaning.
Please note that this alert is updated only when something changes. Generally, state parks are following the phased reopening statewide. As of October 3, we are following modified Phase 3.

Carolina Beach State Park
With a marina providing access to some of North Carolina's best fishing spots, a secluded camping area beneath towering trees, and miles of hiking trails that traverse a variety of distinct habitats—not to mention the presence of the Venus flytrap, one of the world's most unique carnivorous plants—it's no wonder Carolina Beach State Park is a popular coastal attraction. Located in an area steeped in both history and natural diversity, the park includes a visitor's center with exhibits depicting the wonders of its environment.
