Visit parks, enjoy the outdoors and save money with the Annual Pass Program!

Purchase an Individual Pass or a Friends and Family Pass at a participating North Carolina state park. These passes include equipment rentals, access to recreation areas and swimming passes — making it the key to unlock a season of endless outdoor fun and adventure. All benefits listed below are per day and are valid at the listed North Carolina state parks and state recreation areas.

Please note: availability of the passes on site at park office is subject to change. If you plan to purchase a pass, please call the park prior to your visit to make sure they have it in stock. You can also purchase the pass online.

How much are the passes?

The Individual Pass is $75. The Friends and Family Pass is $125.

Where can I purchase a pass?

You can purchase an Individual Pass or a Friends and Family Pass at one of the participating parks. The availability of the passes at the park offices is subject to change, so please call the park office prior to your visit to ensure they have it in stock. You can also purchase it at our webstore.

How do I redeem the benefits of the Annual Pass?

Hang your Individual Pass or Friends and Family Pass from your car's rearview mirror. Please bring the pass with you when checking in at the marina or office for boat launches, beach accesses, equipment rentals and swim passes.

The receipt you receive from the purchase of your pass cannot be used as a substitute for the actual pass.

Can I get a refund?

No, the passes are non-refundable.

Availability can be an issue with any outdoor destination, activity or event. Seasonal weather or occassional weather disasters (ex: hurricanes) and human-caused action (ex: construction or safety concerns) can sometimes limit whether the public can access our facilities. Please contact the park you plan to visit to confirm availability of activities or facilities.

Can I get a replacement pass?

No, lost or stolen passes cannot be replaced, so please take care to place your passes in a secure location. Duplication of passes is prohibited.

How long is the Annual Pass valid?

Each year's Annual Pass is valid until December 31 of that year, regardless of when you purchase the pass.
