The 2020 Annual Pass is available for purchase at our webstore now!

The North Carolina State Parks Annual Pass program allows visitors to enjoy equipment rentals, swimming, and more at our state parks all year long.

North Carolina State Parks 2020 Annual Pass

Please note:

  • There is only ONE type** of Annual Pass this year. It covers up to six individuals for swimming, equipment rentals, and the Hammocks Beach State Park ferry. It also covers one boat launch at Carolina Beach State Park, one car admission to our state recreation areas, and one four-wheel-drive beach vehicle access at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area. Each of these benefits can be redeemed once per day.

  • The pass costs $90. There are no discounts that can be applied to the Annual Pass. It cannot be prorated if you purchase the pass during the year.

  • The majority of North Carolina State Parks are already free to enter. The Annual Pass is not an "entrance pass." It does cover one vehicle admission to Falls Lake, Jordan Lake, and Kerr Lake state recreation areas.** It does not cover admission to the attraction at Chimney Rock State Park. It also does not cover admission to the privately-owned Grandfather Mountain attraction that is adjacent to the state park.

  • The Annual Pass covers the ferry pass at Hammocks Beach State Park only. It does not cover other North Carolina ferries.

  • The Annual Pass does not cover any camping reservation fees. Please check out our gift cards if you would like to give the gift of camping in addition to equipment rentals and swimming passes.

  • The 2020 Annual Pass is available for purchase at the webstore now. Participating park offices and visitor centers will have the pass available for purchase in the coming weeks. Please contact the park prior to your visit to confirm availability.

  • **In January 2020, the Seasonal Parking Pass for our reservoirs will be available for purchase for $60. The Seasonal Pass will cover only the entrance fee of one vehicle per day at Falls Lake, Jordan Lake, and Kerr Lake. The entrance fee is charged on weekends in April and May, daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and on weekends in September. The Seasonal Parking Pass does not include equipment rental fees, ferry passes, four-wheel-drive beach access, swim passes, or boat launches at other state parks.
