Most October events and field trips at all state parks across North Carolina have also been cancelled as the division works on post-storm recovery. Visit ncparks.gov/closures for more information.
Due to impacts of Hurricane Helene, Mount Jefferson SNA is closed until further notice.
The park remain closed until park staff are able to assess the damage and determine that it is safe to reopen.
