Tropical Chantal Recovery at Eno River State Park

In July 2025, Tropical Storm Chantal brought heavy rainfall to Alamance, Chatham, and Orange counties. The cyclone flooded the Eno River, cresting at 25.63 feet, breaking the previous record of 23.58 feet set in 1996 by Hurricane Fran.

Eno River State Park Opens New Visitor Center

Eno River State Park, Engineering and Construction, Interpretation and Education
Funded by the NC Connect Bond, the new visitor center at Fews Ford Access offers engaging exhibits, electric vehicle charging, and a gorgeous back deck overlooking the riverine environment.
