Hike with Ranger Marissa on the Summit Trail to enjoy the sights of nature. We will be looking at many things including fungi, plants, wintering birds, and other animals that may be active along the trail. Meet at the Summit Trail Parking lot to begin. The trail is 1.9 miles one way and is moderate to strenuous. On average, it takes visitors 2.5-3 hours to complete the trail (there and back). Please wear the appropriate hiking shoes and dress for the cold weather. Bring water and a snack for the hike. Feel free to bring identification guides, binoculars, and a camera!
All campsites are closed until further notice due to damage from Hurricane Helene.
