Join a Park Technician to learn more about the woodpeckers of Eno River State Park. We will begin with a short lesson at the park's visitor center. Afterwards, we will search for woodpeckers and signs of their presence as we hike along the Eno Trace trail. This program will equip you with the knowledge to differentiate between woodpecker species based on their appearance, calls, behavior and habitat.
All children must be accompanied by an adult; please be sure to wear hiking shoes and bring water. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring water!
