A solar flare captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, AIA at 304 angstrom.

Drop in between 1-3 p.m. at the Iron Ore Belt Access of Haw River State Park to join Greensboro Astronomy Club members as we observe our planet's nearest star using special solar viewing equipment.

Dress for hot, sunny weather! No hike is required for this program.
