Join Ranger Mandy at the Burnsville Fire Department to learn about different species of animals found on Mount Mitchell and the Southern Appalachians, along with their unique adaptations and characteristics, by examining the physical qualities of their furs and skull structures. Learn where animals make their homes in the mountains and learn how to identify animal tracks. Visitors can make their own animal print to take home. All events are free. You can join us any time between 12-3. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own snacks and drinks, these will not be provided.
This is a hands-on experiential learning opportunity.
Meet in the community room in the back of the Burnsville Fire Department.
