Join us at Merchants Millpond State Park for another summer full of adventures!
Join us on Monday, August 4th and welcome special guest star, Sean, as we celebrate our annual theme by taking a look at some of the things that symbolize the great state of North Carolina! From the iconic Dogwood blossom to the loyal Plott hound, and of course the magnificent pine tree, the many different symbols of North Carolina are marked by some fascinating history. Come out and learn more about these beautiful symbols and some of the history of our state.
This program will start at 10:00 AM sharp at the visitor center auditorium and last for about an hour. This will be a mostly indoor program, but guests are still encouraged to dress for the weather.
Merchants Millpond is home to many of the different state symbols of North Carolina, so come out and make a list of the different ones you find! We also have a small scavenger hunt set up for those who are interested, so grab a list and go see what you can find!
