Take a stroll with Ranger Austin along our newly installed story walk. Currently showcased is Save Our Sand Dunes, a beautifully written and illustrated children's book. This is the tale of Carolista Baum, Jockey's Ridge's legendary figure whose passion and effort helped to save the ridge. Thanks to Carolista and many other concerned citizens, we now celebrate 50 years as a state park. Meet at the visitor center's pavilion.
