Join us on a Wildflower Walk along Upper Boone Fork Trail at Grandfather Mountain State Park where you will learn how to ID common flowering species found in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This easy-moderate 1.0 mile out and back hike requires sturdy hiking boots and water. Although we won’t hike great distances, we’ll be out in the elements the entire time, so please dress accordingly. The Southern Appalachian Mountains provide for a stunning array of native wildflowers and we look forward to sharing this natural beauty with you!
We will meet at Boone Fork Parking Area (mile post 299.9 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, GPS: 36.1200, -81.7813). There are NO bathrooms. This is a Ranger Workshop with The Town of Seven Devils.
