Join us at Merchants Millpond State Park for another summer full of adventures!
On Monday, June 30th, join our special guest star, I&E specialist Melissa, as she shows us the wonderful world of watercolors! Everyone loves gazing at the majestic cypress trees that dot the millpond, but what's even better than looking at them? Painting them of course! Come out and show us your skills as we do a little nature watercolor work of our own.
This program will start at 10:00 AM sharp at the visitor center auditorium and last for about an hour. We will meet for a brief lecture before we start painting. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather. We will be painting, and while we will be dealing with watercolors, spilling is always possible, so extra clothes are recommended.
As the weather warms up, things get a lot more colorful at the millpond. This invites several opportunities for nature painting, drawing, and journaling, so grab a brush, pen, or pencil, hit a trail and have fun! We also have a small scavenger hunt set up for those who are interested, so grab a list and go see what you can find!
