Paddlers on the canal participating in the Dismal Swamp State Park Paddle for the Border event

Join Mayo River State Park for a kayaking trip down the Mayo River. We will be meeting at the Mayo River Bridge Kayak Launch by Bus 220 (3100-3110 US-220 BUS, Stoneville, NC 27048) at 9am, then commuting upriver by vehicle to begin our trip. Ranger vehicle seats are limited, and some volunteer drivers would be greatly appreciated. We will then be launching at the Anglin Mill Access and heading south on the river. This trip will last 6-7 hours on average, and we do plan to find a spot to pull over and break for lunch.

This program is designed for average to intermediate paddlers and will consist of mostly flatwater and level 1 rapids.
