Stop by Merchants Millpond on Monday, August 18th, with Ranger Katie, as we navigate the world of orienteering with this cool compass course! Being able to accurately navigate yourself with a compass is a core survival skill that everyone could always use more practice with. Skills like orienteering are some of the most essential things in a ranger's toolbox, whether it's simply leading a hike, or joining a search and rescue operation. Come on out and learn a thing or two about navigating to add to your toolbox of outdoor skills!
This program will start at 10:00 AM sharp at the visitor center auditorium and last for about an hour. We will likely be outside for a good portion of the program, so guests are encouraged to dress for the weather.
