Join Ranger Fields and follow an old Camp Sertoma trail to some lesser-known hilltop graves. This hike will be roughly 3 miles long with multiple creek crossings on varying terrain. A hiking pole, adequate hiking shoes, and a flashlight are recommended. To sign up for this program, email Jacob.fields@ncparks.gov.
Mount Mitchell State Park is now reopened to the public.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is open up to the state park entrance but remains closed from just past Mount Mitchell through milepost 334 near Little Switzerland. Please read our blog post for the most up-to-date information on park access and trails status.
