Calling all future Dune Rangers! This summer Jockey’s Ridge State Park will be offering our first annual Dune Ranger Discovery Camp. Join Ranger Austin and friends for a fun, educational, and adventurous week. Explore maritime forests, paddle on the Roanoke Sound, climb the tallest active dune on the east coast, be creative with cool arts and crafts projects, play goofy games, help with stewardship projects, and make new friends. At the end of the week, you will be an official Dune Ranger ! Our camp is supported by Friends of Jockey's Ridge.

July 22 - July 26, 2024 / 9:00am-12:00pm daily

Open to grades 3-6.

The mission of the Dune Ranger Discovery Camp will focus on the following elements.

Provide educational opportunities for our youth (both local and visitors),

to teach stewardship,

to provide a safe place for our youth to interact with others and create friendships,

to promote an active lifestyle,

allow for creativity,

and to have fun.
