Fee Changes

The Division of Parks and Recreation is phasing in a dynamic pricing schedule for its campsites, cabins, picnic shelters and other amenities and services. This is in lieu of an across-the-board fee increase. • Effective May 1, 2016 the Annual Pass fee will increase to $60.00
  • Effective May 1, 2106 Special Promotional Rates for Campsites Sunday through Thursday will be offered.
  • Effective May 1, 2016 the rate for an Electric and Water campsite on Fridays and Saturdays will increase to $27.00
  • Effective May 1, 2016 the rate for Group Camp Sites will increase to $55.00
  • Effective May 1, 2016 the Senior Discount will be a $6.00 reduction of the rate applied.
  • Effective AUG 1, 2016 the Daily parking fee will increase to $7.00 on weekends and holidays.
  • Effective December 1, 2016 Premium pricing for water front sites at Holly Point will be introduced.

With dynamic pricing, facility rental fees may vary depending on the site, day of week and time of year.  Please contact the park office for more pricing information.

Falls Lake State Recreation Area

Falls Lake State Recreation Area is a collective of seven access areas scattered around the shoreline of this undeveloped, 12,000-acre reservoir. More than 300 campsites at four of the access areas offer a range of outdoor experience from RV hookups to primitive tent camping and group camps. There are five swim beaches in the recreation area and a number of boating ramps, some reserved for paddlers and non-gasoline powered boats. The Beaverdam access offers a network of mountain biking trails as well as a separate and quiet lake impoundment perfect for paddling, fishing and swimming. The Mountains-to-Sea State Trail winds through parts of the recreation area and is a centerpiece of a network of hiking trails.
