Stone Mountain State Park needs your help!
- Over the past few months, Stone Mountain State Park has experienced numerous severe wind storms. We are seeking volunteers to help us clean-up and maintain our hiking trails at Stone Mountain State Park. You can meet new people and work with experienced volunteers and park staff dedicated to maintaining the beautiful hiking trails. All the trails are now open except for the Stone Mountain Falls stairs.
- On Saturday, March 17th there will be a workday in the park managed by the rangers. Meet at the visitor's center at 9 a.m.
- Dress according to the weather forecast. We also ask that you wear sturdy boots, gloves, and eye protection while working. Please bring a source of water such as a backpack hydration system or a refillable water bottle, and snacks.
- Bring hand tools such as a leaf rake and loppers if you have them. Due to safety concerns and training requirements, park staff are the only individuals permitted to use power tools within the park.
Stone Mountain State Park thanks you in advance for your participation and for helping to preserve our wonderful park for future generations.
