1st Day Hike

1st Day Hike

Start the new year off by participating in America’s State Parks “First Day Hike” at Raven Rock State Park. Join a park ranger on this 2.6 mile, two hour hike to discover some of the natural wonders of this prominent landmark. The hike is open to all ages and pets are welcome but must be on attended leash at all times.  First Day Hikes are being promoted in North Carolina in concert with a national effort by America’s State Parks and the National Association of State Park Directors. News about hiking opportunities in all 50 states along with tips on winter hiking can be found on the America’s State Parks website, www.stateparks.org. The effort promotes a healthy lifestyle as well as appreciation of natural resources. For more information, call the park office at 910-893-4888.
