COVID-19 information for parks under Modified Stay at Home Order

Moccasin Branch Campground - Closed due to a water main break. Campers who had reservations will be notified by Aspira regarding refunds.
**Parking areas fill up to capacity each weekend day. Please plan your trip accordingly or come on a weekday.**
Reservations are required for all camping; no walk-ups permitted. You can make a reservation online or by calling Aspira at 1-877-722-6762. Campers must arrive before 6 p.m. on the day of your reservation. You must check in with a park ranger prior to going to your site. Information regarding camping will be given to registered campers upon reservation.
Fish Traps Trail - The end of the trail is closed to all users due to storm damage and unsafe conditions. DO NOT cross barricades or enter closed areas.
A properly worn mask or face covering, covering both the nose and the mouth, is required to enter the visitor center.
Please continue to follow social distancing guidelines throughout the park, regardless of the behavior of others. Bring a mask or face covering even if you are planning to only be outside; they are required to be worn when you cannot stay 6 feet away from park staff or other visitors. Wash or sanitize your hands before, during, and after your visit. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.

The Canoe Campsites and Family Wilderness Campsites are primitive backpack sites only (2 miles or 2.5 miles from parking areas) with no water or electric.

Area information
Raven Rock State Park is located in Harnett County, nine miles west of Lillington and twenty miles east of Sanford off US 421. For bridle trail directions please see below.
From the junction of US 1 and US 421, follow US 421 South. Turn left onto Raven Rock Road, and follow it for three miles to the park.
From I-40, take I-95 to US 421. Travel north on US 421. After passing through Lillington, turn right onto Raven Rock Road and follow it for three miles to the park entrance.
Directions to Bridle Trails
Raven Rock State Park's bridle trails are located on the north side of the Cape Fear River; separate from the main entrance to Raven Rock State Park.
From the Fayetteville area, travel north on Hwy 401 or Hwy 210. Go through Lillington and pass over the Cape Fear River. Turn left onto Hwy 401/West Cornelius Harnett Blvd. Travel 3.3 miles and turn left onto Christian Light Road. Travel 3.7 miles and turn left onto River Road. The bridle trails entrance is less than a half mile on the left.
From the Fuquay Varina area, traveling towards Lillington on Hwy 401/West Cornelius Harnett Blvd, turn right onto Christian Light Road. Travel 3.7 miles and turn left onto River Road. The bridle trails entrance is less than a half mile on the left.
From the Angier area, traveling towards Lillington on Hwy 210, turn right onto Hwy 401/West Cornelius Harnett Blvd. Travel 3.3 miles and turn left onto Christian Light Road. Travel 3.7 miles and turn left onto River Road. The bridle trails entrance is less than a half mile on the left.
From the Dunn area, traveling via US 421 north into Lillington, stay straight onto Hwy 401/West Cornelius Harnett Blvd at the intersection located beside McDonald's. Travel 3.3 miles and turn left onto Christian Light Road. Travel 3.7 miles and turn left onto River Road. The bridle trails entrance is less than a half mile on the left.
