Earth Day - ASSAULT ON INVASIVES! - Volunteer Opportunity / Junior Ranger

Celebrate Earth Day by getting your hands dirty and volunteering with us! Help us push back on our pushy plants!!  Join Park Rangers as we work to benefit wildlife by removing invasive species so that our natives have room to grow!  Park rangers will begin the event with a short interpretive hike, looking at native pollinators and wildflowers, then participants will get the opportunity to contribute to the conservation of the resource by removing and treating invasive plants!  Please bring sturdy shoes, long pants, a reusable water bottle, your favorite gardening gloves, and a bag-lunch if you plan to stay for a long time. Tools will be provided.  Gloves are available at limited supply. This is a great way to earn your badge as a Junior Ranger at Pilot Mountain State Park! We hope to see you there!
