With over 1,300 acres in Guilford and Rockingham Counties, Haw River State Park is nestled along the Haw River corridor, near the headwaters of the river. As part of interim development, Haw River State Park offers the traditional amenities of hiking and picnicking at our Iron Ore Belt Access day use area. Additional facilities are planned for future development, with this location noted as a key destination on the state’s Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
