Marching with Dogs
Leashed dogs are welcome to visit all stamp stations, however dogs may not join special events at Prairie Ridge and Schenck Forest. At these sites, dogs will have to continue along the Capitol Greenway rather than march through Prairie Ridge or Schenck Forest trails.
Biking the Volksmarch Route
It is possible to ride your bike to all stamp stations and complete the Triangle Volksmarch. Bikes are allowed on the Capitol Greenway. Bikes may park at the entrance to Prairie Ridge and Schenck Forest, but may not ride the trails in those sites. Once in Umstead State Park, bikes will need to take the Reedy Creek Trail rather than the Loblolly Trail, and then a small section of park road to complete this 7.5 mile alternative route.
Triangle Volksmarch is made possible by a Public Lands Day grant through the National Environmental Education Foundation and Friends of State Parks. For questions or partnership, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
