PARK REOPENED 12/13/2018

After many hours of hard work clearing snow from the parking lot and drive, the park has been deemed safe and reopened to the public.

Please be aware that the Profile Parking Area still has large snow banks around the edges, but the asphalt is dry.

Access to the Daniel Boone Scout Trail will depend upon Blue Ridge Parkway closures. Visitors should consult the NPS real-time map of Blue-Ridge Parkway closures before heading to that side of the park:

https://www.nps.gov/maps/full.html?mapId=e212fcb5-4ff9-4787-bbe4-3d40cc0...

As of 10 AM Thursday Dec. 13, The BRP is closed in our area.

Once the snow has melted, visitors will be able to access the Daniel Boone Scout trail from Asutsi Parking on US Hwy 221. Currently, there is nowhere to park.
