There are many opportunities to view nature at Carvers Creek State Park.  There is a rich diversity of habitats to see including: meadows of native grasses and wildflowers, forests of longleaf pine, and mixed pine and hardwood forests.  Also, there is the lovely 100-acre Millpond and its associated wetlands.  The open meadows are wonderful places to view birds and insects. In the wooded areas, you may see fox squirrels and a variety of woodpeckers. The federally endangered red-cockaded woodpecker calls our forests home. In the Millpond, you'll likely see fish, snakes, frogs and turtles.
