Falls Lake State Recreaton Area offers a variety of learning opportunities for all ages. Typically led by park rangers, these interpretive programs allow the public to gain perspective into what makes North Carolina state parks naturally wonderful. ​

Most of the events are free, though some require pre-registration. All give park visitors deeper insight into the natural world. Call the park office for more information.

 

Come out to the park and learn the art of cooking in a Dutch Oven , a handy skill for the next time you cook outside. This will be a hands-on experince and tasting! While we bake we will discuss the history of the Dutch Oven and Review Camping Safety.

Campgrounds

All campgrounds now offer 24 hour access during the operating season. See Opening and Closing Schedule for details. 

All campgrounds are closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
