Trail Sisters Hike

Trail Sisters Hike

The 10K Women Trail Project, launched by Hike It Baby and sponsored by REI, is an initiative to get women and girls on trails across the United States. North Carolina State Parks is supporting this effort by creating Trail Sisters—a series of hikes in our state parks led by our female staff.  These hikes aim to bring women of all backgrounds and trail experience together for fellowship, fresh air, and improved health in the outdoors.
Join Park Ranger Eryn Staib on an easy, 2-mile hike around the park’s Lake Trail. We will meet at the Visitor’s Center by the trail head and end our journey at the Swim Lake parking lot. Remember to dress warmly and bring water! Please, no dogs on this hike.
We will be having varying levels of trail sister hikes every month this year.
